How far would you go for a misunderstanding?

How far would you go if you had a misunderstanding with someone? Burn him? Reading the news article, I'm rather surprised by how the title was set "Victim attacked over a misunderstanding". How much more pathetic can this be?

Even worse, the criminals involved are not those who are uneducated. To be able to study at the tertiary level, one would expect students to be more mature in their actions and not commit such atrocities.

Four Undergrads among 8 held for setting fire to teen (03 March 2012, NST Online)

Victim attacked over a misunderstanding

SHAH ALAM: FOUR university students were among eight suspects arrested for allegedly dousing a youth with petrol and setting him on fire last Sunday.
The victim, Muhammad Syahirudin Mohd Shauki, 19, managed to jump into a drain to douse the flames and is now in critical condition at the intensive care unit of Sungai Buloh Hospital.
He suffered more than 80 per cent burns on his body.
State police chief Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah said besides the four university students, two were employees at a fashion boutique, one was a despatch rider and the other a burger seller.
Investigations revealed that Syahirudin was attacked over a misunderstanding he had with one of the suspects in December. The eight suspects, aged between 19 and 25, were remanded yesterday.
Syahirudin was found wearing only his underwear by villagers in Kampung Sepakat, Hulu Selangor.
He was believed to have been lured out by one of the students before being bundled into a car by three men in Kota Damansara.
He was taken to an oil palm estate, doused with petrol and set alight before being left for dead.
Badly burnt, he walked about 400m to seek help from a nearby house before he was sent to the hospital. It is understood that Syahirudin earned a living by selling footwear at night markets.
Police made their first arrest within hours after the attack when they nabbed two women, aged 19 and 20, here. In follow-up operations early yesterday, police raided a house in Labu Kubong, Teluk Intan, where they arrested six men.
Tun Hisan said investigations showed that one of the suspects had a grudge against Syahirudin and had used one of the women to flirt with him before abducting him. He added that with the arrests of the suspects, police believe they have solved the case.

Do guys cry?

Just curious, do guys cry?

Are guys allowed to cry anyway?

Guys are often thought to be the dominating gender in various species. Hence, among males the termed 'Alpha male' exists, a title given to the most dominating male among male being.

Having a 'macho', 'manly', 'stern', 'egoistic', all the dominating features are often associated with the 'ideal characteristic' of a man.

With all these as the barriers, can a guy be allowed to cry then?

Crying, may be associated 'weak', a characteristic not suitable for both guys and girls. As a weak person can or may be dominated/control/victimised by a stronger or dominant being.

Obviously, this is not acceptable or more unacceptable for guys.

Then again, the main feature that shows that we are 'alive' is the ability to 'feel'. To have emotions, means we have the ability to be happy, angry, sad, jealous, afraid, etc.

And with sadness (most often, or fear), especially at the extreme, 'crying' may be associated as an expression for the emotion.

To not cry, does it mean guys become without emotion?

Without emotion, are guys still considered a human?

Or are guys allowed to cry but not in front of others?

But if we are not allowed to cry in front of others, doesn't that mean we just put out a fake 'front'? Lying to ourselves and others of our emotions?

It hurts to be lied to, so won't it be sadder to lie to ourselves?

An army guy (or even other defense forces), are thought to be 'impenetrable' being, able to overcome fear to face fierce battles and attacks. But even then, we can see them cry too (albeit not all).

So back to the question, are guys allowed to cry?

A professor called Hong Kees: Dogs

I accidentally came across a video on youtube which a professor from a China university condemn people from Hong Kong. Surprisingly, the lecturer kept calling Hong Kees as dogs. He even said that most Hong Kees are immoral and unethical?!

He also said like Singapore, Hong Kong is a place where law is strictly enforced, and where everything is in place due to law, what is shown is the people in the country are of no quality, and are basically "cheap"!!.

Amazing words used by the professor.

Speechless......

P.S: Subtitles are available on top of the screen.

Rats bit patient's penis

This is not one of the everyday news article you get to read! Although the news kind of happened a month ago. Didn't read it at that time, was busy kai-kai'ing.

According to the Yahoo News (24 Dec 2011) report:

"NEW DELHI, Dec 24 (Bernama) -- A pneumonia patient is alleged to have bled to death after rats nibbled off his penis in a government-run hospital in Kolkata, reported local media.
The horrific incident happened at the SSKM Hospital on Friday where Arun Sandhukh, 53, was seeking treatment for pneumonia, reported the Asian Age newspaper.
The hospital authorities admitted the prevalent of rat menace in the wards but did not comment further.
"No nurse was found at the scene and he was writhing in pain. His penis had been nibbled by rats," the victim''s relative only known as Bishwanath told the media. Only family members who came to visit Arun discovered him dead in a pool of blood, said the news report."
Who would have thought a patient lying on a bed would have his penis come under attack by rats?
Biting off enough to cause significant bleeding and death?
